This is the Virginia Tech ROV. We built it for the movie, and also built a twin as a backup.
The Duke and Stanford ROVs. Duke is really notBob, which The Typewriter Repairmen built in 2009 to compete in the NURC.
Stanford is really Babs, which The Typewriter Repairmen built in 2010 to compete in the NURC, and modified a few times to meet changing NURC mission requirements over the years.
This is "real" Fredi, posing with "real" Stinky. The hero ROV was actually quite sophisticated. Watch some video.
